[Tfug] light rail (was [OT] WTB: motorcycle)

To move this more on topic, look at public transport as alternative to 
motorcycle (or car). Unfortunately, Tucson had only the Ohio-Co run 
SunTran as i was there. Tucson, however,  still has wide open spaces for 
light rail. Also, the  Autobahn,  Phoenix-Tucson-GV-Nogales, has a space 
right smack in the middle for light rail. Light rail is linux OS, GPS 
(SunTran had an expensive IT- GPS system which didn't work {as most 
things there}, so, for example, the operators were supposed to howl out 
the street names at the intersections.) and more. Here, there are even 
light rail lines which are now without operators, just some ol'computer, 
hopefully linux-run. Light rail would employ a large number of 
programmers, sysadmins etc. One barrier, tho, to light rail in Tucson 
was Jim Click & Co...
