Can I assume you captured the video to (hard) disk
and then burned DVD from the digital files?  I.e.
you did NOT regenerate video to record on an
"analog DVD recorder"?
 
I can live without editing but I would not like to
lose too much picture quality -- since VHS tapes
aren't all that good to begin with!
