dunno. My intention is to make my POP dl'd emails
available via a login into my system.

I have experience with java from the U and some
perl and now that I've tinkered with gtk, even
some C. 

I like the idea of getting emails on my home
computer where they will be safe, but I don't like
not being able to access them from other places.
So I thought I would set up a way to access them
from other computers by logging into my system.

Parsing them is the first step, I guess.
