[Tfug] hardware issue?

He was in fact trying 7.10, so I don't know. I believe he was trying the 64
bit ISO, and last I heard from him I had convinced him to try the regular
x32 Ubuntu. He hasn't got back with me yet on whether or not that try
worked, so we'll see. I kind of figure no news is good news... maybe he's
too busy enjoying a fresh Gutsy installation to write me. :)
Problem is my buddy is in BeiJing, his brother - building the computer - is
in Colorado, and I am presently in Indiana. Everything is a little long
distance right now.
