My mother got her master's through Phoenix. It's in nursing, so it's
not related to your situation, but I remember how hard she worked. She
had lots and lots of papers to write. She's now applying for a job
directly related to her Phoenix degree (Nursing Education). I think
the point here is that Phoenix is no free ride, and given the changing
nature of education, alternative degree paths are going to gain more
and more of a foothold in this country, if they haven't already.
I would say don't shy away from the online thing. With all of your
experience, I think an online degree can't possibly make you any less
marketable than most other people who are going the weill-established
route.
