Now you understand that many problems are caused by the item between the 
chair and computer!

I used to get weird support issues like that all of the time.  Things 
like a users phone headset wouldn't work after a year.  Yep, battery 
powered headsets need fresh batteries once in a while.

Or my favorite on-call issue was when they hit the program key on their 
phone and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't dial anyone anymore.

Or the user who called to report a dead phone and by the time I got 
there, her keyboard didn't work either.  Had something to do with that 
big bottle of Windex she was squirting everywhere.

Or the administrator that dumped coffee in his keyboard and wiped it all 
up.  He was ranting at me about the crappy computer until I turned the 
keyboard over and the rest of his coffee ran out on the desk. ;-)
