Might want to check out inkscape too. I don't know what
it's stated purpose is, but as someone who also doesn't
have any aesthetic abilities, it seemed like it was
designed for flyery stuff. You know, a pencil tool, a
paint tool, a line tool, squares, text, circles, sort of
gimpy I guess.
