    Let me make it perfectly clear: I hate Comcast. The years I was sentenced 
    to the company's crappy CATV and broadband service were long, brutal, and 
    demeaning. And that was just the time spent interacting with Comcast 
    customer service.

    In fact, the best solution to providing competition and making broadband 
    consumers coveted by providers does not lie in federal legislation; it is 
    found in breaking the monopoly service providers like Comcast have with 
    local governments.
