Wait...what about libraries?  The university?

I'm WAY more interested in something where we can boot our stuff rather than
a bar...

I can provide a WiFi hotspot or ethernet for up to four with my weird little
Verizon router, but the bandwidth is pretty limited (about 900kb/s up, 125
or so down).  It's a Kyocera KR1 with a PCMCIA slot for my Verizon cellmodem
(EVDO, KPC-650).
