Hi again,

Just a [shameless] update on the status of this item: I haven't sold
it yet, but I've talked to several interested people. Here are answers
to some of the questions they've asked:

Q: How much did you pay for it?
A: I paid $2299 + tax = $2427 (educational discount). For everyone
else, this model would have been $2499 + tax.

Q: What are you asking for it?
A: $1700 (pretty firm).

Q: Why are you selling it?
A: Eller College at U of A is a Windows-only shop, and the prospect of
dual-booting for another 3 semesters doesn't sound appealing. It's
back to Windows for me. (I still run *nix servers, though; don't stone
me!)

Q: Do you have the original packaging?
A: Of course. :-) I have the original box, all accessories, and even
the receipt. Like I said, I'm very fastidious with my toys.

So, Apple is selling this model refurbished for $1549 + tax +
shipping, and they're going on eBay for more than $1700 + shipping.
Keep in mind that 'refurbished' indicates something was once broken,
and who knows what you're getting when you buy on eBay? Also, the
value of the sleeve case that I'm throwing in is $39 + shipping (from
sfbags.com---really nice stuff).

I'd be happy to answer any additional questions, post pictures, or
meet with you to show it off. Just let me know...

Cheers!

Matt
