My Comcast provided Motorola DCT6412 [1] Dual-tuner HDTV DVR has IEEE
1394 output.  I've heard stories of people using that box (or a similar
one) and recording on MythTV via the IEEE 1394 output.  I haven't tried
it myself yet though.
