I saw this on distrowatch and though I would give it a try. Live cd version has way to create bootable system on USB FlashDrive. Now running Mandriva off of my 1-gig flashdrive. This  is a complete Mandriva system  with KDE 3.5.4.  Everything seems to work ok. I can also see all of my Windows harddrives.
