Don't get me wrong, the services are just as easy to run on cable..
you just don't need to configure the cable modem. Everything that is
not blocked is passed through to the router or computer sitting on the
other side of the modem. Now it may be that cable blocks more ports
than DSL, but as I said, you can always run apache on port 8080 and
ssh was definitely not blocked when I was using it.
