I have to say that looks bloody excellent. The only problem is:  
Google owns you. Privacy is a *huge* issue for many companies, and  
this would be out of the question.

Maybe use a wiki for collaboration? Mediawiki might be too hard to  
learn for some people, so there are others with much simpler markup.  
However, Wikipedia is well-known enough that people could be  
convinced to learn it. It's certainly simpler than Latex!

Mac's "Preview" does notes in PDFs. Maybe there's something open  
source out there that does the same?
