The Atheros support in FreeBSD is great. Sadly the Orinoco Silver is not
Atheros based, but rather Hermes I based. In fact the silver only
supports '64bit' WEP. Fortunatly, this card's firmware can be replaced
rather trivially with the 'Gold' firmware allowing '128bit' WEP.
There is a really nice injection driver for MacOS for this card. So if
you are a nefarious Hacker and want to crack your neighbor's WEP from a
Mac.... well then you should really jump on this.
