I don't imagine it would be *physically* compatible.
Battery capacity == battery *volume* (more "juice"
means more *JUICE*!  :> ).  The battery for a 650VA
unit (~400W?) wouldn't have much up-time in a 1KVA
(600W?) unit -- since one assumes the load on a
larger UPS would be greater -- so usually a larger
battery / battery pack is employed.

Also, often larger UPS's have higher DC operating
voltages to cut down on switching losses -- since
the current drawn from the battery goes up with
load (larger UPS), the IR losses in the switcher
tend to grow as well.  With a higher DC to operate
from, I goes down (so IR does as well) and the
efficiency goes *up* (since IR is << battery voltage).

You could, of course, hack the battery onto the
UPS (externally) but it probably isn't worth it for
this small of a UPS.  (you are welcome to the UPS,
if you decide to tinker...)
