[Tfug] Growisofs vs CDrecord-ProDVD

I prefer the command line (K3B is nice looking, but I don't trust it
completely for the same reason I didn't like XCDRoast), but for some
reason, I haven't yet successfully burned a DVD (commercially protected
or unprotected) using either growisofs or CDrecord-ProDVD.
Could it be that I'm using single layer DVD's on a dual layer DVD
player? Is it a hardware issue? According to the command below, the
model is a SONY DVD RW DRU-810A. My filesystem is ext3 (as far as I can
remember) and I run Debian Sarge 3.0.
Thanks for your input; I'll try to work with growisofs from now on.
