LOPSA ANNOUNCES ARIZONA SYSADMIN DAYS WORKSHOP

The League of Professional System Administrators (LOPSA) will host the
first-ever SysAdmin Days training workshop, November 6 & 7, 2006 at the
Crowne Plaza Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona.  All system administrators are
invited to attend, regardless of skill and experience levels.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

This two-day training workshop is designed to give you practical tools
and face-to-face advice from other professionals in the field.  Industry
leaders will be on hand to present a variety of workshops, addressing both
specific platforms and technologies and general system administration
practices, including Mac OS X Administration, PHP, and Perl. Sessions will
cover topics such as drafting policy documents, communications skills,
time management, disaster recovery, and many more.

SysAdmin Days builds on a combination of national and local instructional
talent. For instance, author Thomas Limoncelli ( "The Practice of System
and Network Administration" from Addison-Wesley, "Time Management for
System Administrators" from O'Reilly ) and Perl 6 compiler contributor
Trey Harris bring in valuable knowledge while locals George Toft and
David Lundell spread the knowledge already available in the Arizona tech
industry, including localized information such as the upcoming Arizona
State Law A.R.S. 44-7501.

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION RUNS THROUGH FRIDAY, THE 27TH OF OCTOBER

Conference registration includes two days of classes, class materials,
lunch, morning and afternoon breaks, Monday evening reception, Monday

Registration is $199 for faculty and staff of an educational institution.

Educucational group registration is $299, which is good for a faculty or
staff person of an educational institution and up to 5 students.

Student registration is $99.

Educational pricing is for educational institutions such as four year
colleges, community colleges and K12.

Educational discounts require confirmation of relationship to the
educational institution.
