[Tfug] Updating/upgrading vinum on FreeBSD

 My main disk server box runs FreeBSD 4.11 and has 3
80 GB IDE drives running Vinum in a RAID-5
configuration.  It's been really solid and dependable.

 However, FreeBSD 4.11 is pretty long in the tooth now
so I'm thinking I ought to consider migrating to 6.1. 
In digging around though it looks like Vinum is not
being actively maintained anymore (it was just pulled
from NetBSD for example) although it's still
documented in the FreeBSD handbook.

 Is there a replacement for software RAID on FreeBSD
at this time?  Any thoughts on such a migration?
