I would like to retort about the construction comment of the Nano. I
bought one for my 8 year old son because of its durability, and the link
above is some pretty good proof about how durable it truly is. It is
simple enough that my son doesn't need to ask me how to use it, and
durable enough to outlast anything he can do to it. On top of that, he
can't copy anything to it without my knowledge because he can't just
copy any type of file over to it. I don't believe there is a catch all
best product on the market, but I think there are products that are best
for each individual based upon their needs. Some of us have Macs with
ITunes already installed, and using it is quite easy. Importing music
that is already owned is easy also. Others may not have a Mac, but like
the interface for the Ipods and/or ITunes. Yet, others still may look at
the base fact that Ipods cost more then other devices and don't offer
alternative (non-proprietary) methods of interacting with their OS (be
it UNIX, Linux, Windows or whatever).
Thanks,
Will

It was my pleasure. I feel honored to have received a "second or third
most amusing post today" award. ;-)
