ARRGGH! Help, I've fallen and I can't get up!

I just updated my raid-5 server to FreeBSD 6.1, and
now it can't see the IDE hard disks that are on the
2nd and 3rd disk controllers. The dmesg is below. On
FreeBSD 4.11 these showed up fine as ad4, ad8 and
ad10.

I can't see how this is a hardware issue since I
didn't open the box or anything, just updated and now
the disks are not seen. The controllers ARE seen.
I'm willing to RTFM but don't know which part of the M
to R.

I tried running atacontrol info and it doesn't show
the disks attached at all :-(. Note there's a
disturbing line "unknown: I/O range not supported"
toward the top of the dmesg.

 Any help will be appreciated!
