My experience with hotwayd is that it's quite reliable. I have a user
who's been relying on it for two or three years now and has been quite
pleased.

I don't recall it being terribly difficult to set up. I just sort of
downloaded, installed, and forgot about it until a month ago when the
user in question reported his inability to check hotmail any more - the
result of moving his account to another server and my forgetting that he
was even using the app :P
