[Tfug] Tucson DSL or Dial-Up

I know there have been threads in the past on local Linux-friendly ISPs,
but there is no search option within the TFUG list archives. So, I
thought I'd post this here.

I'm investigating a DSL connection for my mother-in-law and have been
looking at TheRiver.com (they are now nationwide.net); They have a
better-than-Qwest deal. She's currently on PeoplePC with Windows XP --
I'm going to set the PC with dual boot Linux and get rid of the PeoplePC
junk. We are also considering dial-up connection either through The
River or through Frys.com. Unlimited use and low cost for either DSL or
dial-up.

Any thoughts?  Thanks in advance.
