Hi

Are there any Latex users in this group? I've been struggling to
insert cyrrlic text in one of my latex documents and have been
unsuccessful in my attempt. Here's what I've done for the Cyrillic
part so far. Any help would be appreciated

In the document preamble I added

\usepackage[russian,english]{babel}

I can see that when i do \selectlanguage{russian}\today a bunch of
russian characters shows up in the dvi file. My question is, how do i
get one specific character. In my case I want the 7th Russian
character. In the book  "Latex companion" they didn't make it
absolutely clear how to insert just a regular character, all they have
in there are a bunch of macros that don't really illustrate the point
very well. Thanks for any help that may be forthcoming
