I tend to not top-post, but sometimes I do because it makes more sense
(although I always make sure I'm not retaining unnecessary quoted text).  I
don't like hard-and-fast rules, but I would rather see answers posted below
questions and DEFINITELY want to see unnecessary quoted verbiage removed.
Top-posting tends to make people lazy - they just hit the "reply" button
and start replying, which can lead to enourmously long e-mails.  I've been
"neting" long enough that I have a strong urge to conserve bandwidth, even
if it's silly to worry about a few 100+ line e-mails these days.  However,
conservation, like charity, begins at home.
