Hello Tom,

  I haven't tried it yet, but there is a Fedora Core 4 PPC now.  I
  have also heard good things about Ubuntu PPC.  Again, unfortunately
  I haven't had the time to really give them a try, so I don't know
  just how good they will work for you.

  Just a thought.
