What could cause a scsi 160 hard drive to be recognised by the controller to the point that I can partition and format the drive. Yet when I try to transfer files to that drive , it won't do it. The drive is an IBM/Hitachi IC35L036UWPR15-0 , 15k ,
36gb drive. Would not having the jumpers on the back set properly cause this? I have no jumpers on the block marked
A. reserved, B. disable unit attn, C. ti sync nego , D. disable parity, E. delay start F. auto start delay G. enable auto spin . The block marked 1-7 has jumpers on 6. term power and 4. id bit 0 . Nothing on 1 thru 3, id bits 1,2,3 .
Nothing on 5 force se or 7 led out. I don't remember how it was setup for jumpers before lending the drive to my brother.
