[Tfug] Any Linux Chix out there?

Your not alone! I am a Graphic Artist / Systems Administrator where I work
at West Press. All of our sales and administration people use MS Office,
etc. and have Windows. A lot of our business comes from clients using MS
Office. Before I came along, they were still using Win95! with Win98
existing on a few machines.

We Graphic Artists at least have Mac's for doing our layout and design work.
Though as we have grown, we have been forced to put Windows machines next to
all of our Macs. I have upgraded everyone to at least Win2k Pro, and that
has done a lot to stabilize most of the problems we had had with Win. though
we still have occasional problems. Ours is a PostScript invironment, and due
to some of our printing devices, mostly an AppleTalk one.

The owner put in a T1 and wanted to pull in all of our hosted services
(mail, web, ftp, etc.) so yours trully had to get up to snuff with Linux in
a hurry. I have to say, that I have come to appreciate Linux more and more
everyday. What started out as a hobby at home....I have four linux servers,
two Macs, one dual boot Linux/Windows machine, and a dual boot laptop....
I'm waiting for the day though that we can totally ditch MS.
