Obviously nothing to go point to point about here.
I did want to note, though, that, the only SPAM I receive on any of my
accounts goes to an AOL address I used on their message boards.
Being a light-to-moderate Listserv and message board poster, then, it
has been my personal experience that while what Michele says is true
within the AOL environment, it is not true externally.
The one great exception to this may be with Internet newsgroups... But
when was the last time anyone used a real email address in their
newsgroup configurations?
Without trying to make this thread any more convoluted then it has
already become, I would also like to note that it has been a long
standing policy of AOL that no employees will ever represent themselves
as such in Internet communications. Therefore, anyone representing
themselves as such in an Internet communication is to be considered an
imposter -- notwithstanding Michele's supposed communications with
people in the "legal department", that single point in and of itself
discredits the entire email.
I suppose we'll all remember now that Scott Fuller is kind of flagrant
in this regard as well, but as he's never used his credentials as a way
to support flimsy argumentation (and also because he seems to be
responsible for the redhat mirror) it's never occurred to me to say
anything about it.

. Anthony,
. I do not appreciate your attempted burn of my post. I do indeed work at America Online and I triple checked my post to make sure that I was not "releasing any company secrets" with the information that I provided. Everything that I have said has been in the public forum for a while. I even sent this post after your comments to our local legal department and they said it was fine. So, I would love to know what "company policies" you speak of that I have violated. Maybe I can let our legal team take a look and maybe they can learn something from you, since you seem to know it all. LOL
. Secondly, I do not let my experience with AOL influence anything, as I am a CNA as well as an MCP. So, if anything, perhaps *you* need to reread my post and understand why you are probably getting spam every day. It is your attitude that makes me wary of joining these forums as it is people like you that ruin objective discussion. This is the last post I will make to this group as I will be leaving. I have no use for you and your "opinions" of what I know and what I don't. I deal with enough of your kind daily.
. Sincerely,
. Michele Campbell
