Just my two cents worth,  I have a small home network (three boxes, one 
linux, two win2k) and we all access DSL through a Cisco 678.  My 
connection is through Qwest and my ISP is theriver.com.  When Qwest 
tried to force me to go MSN, I was without DSL (which had been running 
for a least a year with Qwest) for almost two months.  Meanwhile 
theriver.com gave me a free dialup for that period while we tried to get 
the DSL running again.   I have found the customer service at 
theriver.com to be excellent.
