====================================================

AZ Freenet (AzTeC) http://aztec.asu.edu
needs some Unix volunteers to relocate our servers from ASU to
a new location. AzTeC runs on 2 Sun Sparc 20s / SunOS 4.1.4 with
FreePort (CWRU) BBS software. There are a lot of transferrable skills
and knowledge betwen SunOS 4.x and BSD, and we can surely use
some volunteers to help in the following areas:

Immediate help (urgent)
- Sendmail (re)-configuration to new location
- C-News - same as above
- Clean-up: asu-related things, check crontabs etc.

Intermediate:
- ssh is really old ('94) upgrade to OpenSSH for remote access
- consider perl upgrade, plus other utilities, maybe newer sendmail ver.
- troubleshoot disk quotas interfering with FreePort mailfile handling
- troubleshoot alleged "memory leaks" on one of the servers

Continuous help:

- System administration help, selective upgrades (freeport will
not live on anything higher than SunOS 4.1.4 / Solaris 1.1.2

Both AzTeC servers are remotely accessible (located in Phoenix)
but people can ssh and telnet conveniently and at any time. To obtain
remote access info, please send a short resume / credentials and
specify areas of expertise. I will be glad to give volunteers a summary
of how things are set up, what is where, etc.

Thanks much for helping our FreeNet :)
Cheer, Ivan
