Myself, the only blame I give Microsoft for Code Red is the way they have
presented Windows as a server platform that even an Idiot can Run...

Finding a "GOOD" Microsoft server admin is not easy, especially with the
number of paper MCSEs I have seen...

It is starting to get harder to find a good admin in the Linux and Unix
world, but normally a person who states Unix and Linux experince on a
resume actually has real world experince...

I blame most of Code Red on braindead Microsoft Network Admins, and on
patches being overwritten by older patches (install software, reinstall
spX, and you are back to an unpatched server, since the hotfix to fix the
problem came out after spX came out...)

An insecure Unix or Linux system on a dedicated connection is probably
more harm than an insecure microsoft system, as an attacker can do more
with it, once they are into it.
