I usually just copy off the apps/data and wipe the drive (Windows seems to
need it every so often). Then, booting off the Linux install disk, I switch
over to a terminal, fdisk to my liking, and FAT32 format the Windows side.
Jump back, reinstall Windows, restore applications/data, and then finish up
by installing Linux.
