[Tfug] cygwin

Is anyone out there familiar with cygwin?  I want to be able to run some
*nix apps on a Win2000 box (can't change the OS, drat-the-luck) in a
scheduled batch mode converting PostScript images to web-friendly format
(jpeg or png).  I've been told that cygwin is a good way to accomplish
this.  Anyone ever tried this?
