[Tfug] Question about configuring ftape module in Woody

I have a simple question about configuring ftape to work on my Woody
box, 2.4.18 kernel. I have a Seagate TR3 internal drive which I'm
running on a CTC 2MB controller card. In the documentation for ftape, it
says I should edit the MCONFIG file to specify my base address for the
controller. Here is my question. The user's manual for the controller
card specifies the default jumpered I/O address as "370h-377h". Does the
"h" appended to these numbers mean that they are hexadecimal?

The MCONFIG file parameter which I'm pretty sure corresponds to my
controller has the following value: "0x370". Is this another notation
for a hexadecimal value? As I see it, the common substring here is
"370", so I'm assuming these are just two different ways of indicating a
hexadecimal number. Am I right?

I would appreciate hearing about anyone else's experience with
installing the ftape module. The documentation seems pretty thorough,
but any advice is appreciated (except don't tell me to go buy a SCSI DAT
or LVD drive!)
