Financial software development in C++ for Windows...... (oh no!), 
and I actually make a living doing it!

I know, it's blashpemy, but I have my asbestos suit on....

RedHat 7.2 boxes serving up a VPN between the Tucson 
development office (me and 5 other developers) and the Chicago 
sales/tech support office.

I use to have a couple AS400s running AIX a few years ago at the 
UofAz in the Economic Science Laboratory along with Novell and 
NT.

As you can imagine, I don't post to this list much, but I do get a 
tremendous amount of utility out of being a voyeur into the minds of 
the young (not you, Jim....I use to do Fortran, too) and, how did 
Angus put it?, the "elitist nerdy shmucks".  For the most part, this 
list is a great resource with a lot of nice, knowledgeable people, 
and few a intelligent, degenerate, fanatical freaks for entertainment. 
Bowie is a never ending source of amusement for me and I vote to 
keep him on the island.
