It might be worth trying, although TakeThatUIdiot@tfug.org might be more
appropriate.  I can only see this working, however, if you are willing to
exclude people from the main list if they don't behave (and others are
willing to let you do this).  You might also have to step in occassionally
and ask/tell people to take a thread to the other list, or perhaps anyone
could ask and you could lower the hammer if the subtle hint (get the f---
off-list!) is ignored.
