My point isn't to compare Bowie Poag with Linus Torvalds.

I'm just saying there's a certain precedence for this mode of argumentation.

And maybe also that sometimes you meet a smart ass who aside from being 
an ass is actually pretty smart.

And then the dumb asses reject him because he's a smart ass.

I wonder how many people missed out on the Celestia link because their 
email client is configured to automatically delete Bowie's messages...
