as a devout vim bigot, I need to say, dont settle on vim. editors,
distributions, windowmanagers etc.. all are designed for one reason,
comfort. What is comfortable to me, is most likely not what 99% of other
people would choose. So, as you learn, try out other editors like:
emacs, joe, pico, nedit and more. if you find one that you are
comfortable with, use it, but dont stop trying and retrying other
editors. This goes for all software, from ditributions to command
shells.
